Bonjour!

On behalf of the conference host institution, L'École de technologie supérieure, I'm pleased to invite you to Montreal for the 29th annual AUREO conference, August 30 - September 2, 2009. We have prepared an exciting program, with many informative speakers. The conference hotel, the Sheraton Centre, is one of the best in Montreal, ideally situated to allow you to get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of this cosmopolitan city.

Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris, but you don't need to speak French to enjoy it. It feels, looks and sounds like Europe, with over eighty distinct ethnic communities represented in its population of 3.6 million. From cobblestone streets and historic architecture in Old Montreal, to sleek downtown office towers, sophisticated shopping streets, charming neighborhoods and gourmet restaurants, Montreal has something for every visitor's taste and interest.

Consider extending your stay or planning a family holiday to supplement your participation in the conference. Or, plan to visit near-by Quebec City. Check the About Montreal and Trip Ideas pages of the Web site for great ideas about how to enjoy this unique part of North America.

See you in August!
